Vylt Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "our", or "us") operates the NeCO SCOM mobile application (the "App"), a business-to-business (B2B) platform designed for CXOs and operations personnel to monitor cold storage facilities in real time.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the NeCO SCOM App. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

This policy applies to the NeCO SCOM mobile application available on iOS and Android platforms and its interactions with our backend infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information to provide and improve the App:

2.1 Account Information

Email address — used for authentication and account identification
Password — stored in hashed form; never stored or transmitted in plain text

2.2 Device Information

Device operating system type (iOS or Android) — collected for compatibility and support purposes

2.3 Usage and Operational Logs

App session activity and interaction logs — collected to diagnose issues and improve performance
Sensor data readings from cold storage facilities — retrieved from your organisation's connected backend; this data belongs to your organisation and is processed on your behalf

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect payment or financial information
We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies
We do not collect biometric data
We do not collect contact lists, photos, or any data unrelated to cold storage monitoring

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to deliver and support the NeCO SCOM App. Specifically:

Authentication and access control — your email and password are used to verify your identity and enforce role-based access to your organisation's data
Service improvement — usage logs help us identify and resolve technical issues, optimise performance, and improve App features
Security monitoring — access logs are reviewed to detect and respond to unauthorised access or misuse

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, and we do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 On-Device Storage

Authentication tokens (JSON Web Tokens / JWTs) are stored securely on your device using platform-provided secure storage:

iOS — tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, which is encrypted by the operating system
Android — tokens are stored using the Android Keystore system, leveraging hardware-backed encryption where available

4.2 Backend Storage

All operational data, sensor readings, and account information are stored on our backend infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure. Azure provides enterprise-grade security controls including encryption at rest, network isolation, and continuous security monitoring.

4.3 Data in Transit

All communications between the App and our backend are encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher). No personal or operational data is transmitted over unencrypted connections.

4.4 Access Controls

Access to data within the App is enforced through tenant-scoped role-based access controls (RBAC). Users can only access data belonging to their authorised organisation and zones.

The NeCO SCOM App integrates with the following third-party services. Each service operates under its own privacy policy:

5.2 MapmyIndia / Mappls Map SDK

We integrate the MapmyIndia Mappls Map SDK, provided by CE Info Systems Ltd (MapmyIndia), to display geographic maps within the App. The SDK may access approximate device location for map rendering purposes. MapmyIndia's data practices are governed by the MapmyIndia Privacy Policy (https://www.mappls.com/about/privacy-policy).

We do not share your personal data with any third-party services beyond what is technically necessary for the above integrations to function.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide the App's services. Specifically:

Account information (email, hashed password) — retained for the duration of your active account
Usage and operational logs — retained for up to 12 months for diagnostic and security purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised
Sensor and facility data — retained in accordance with your organisation's data retention agreement with Vylt Technologies

Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required to meet legal obligations.

7. Your Rights

As a user of the NeCO SCOM App, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Right to Access — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Right to Correction — you may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information
Right to Deletion — you may request deletion of your personal information and account. We will fulfil such requests within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain data
Right to Portability — you may request your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format
Right to Object — you may object to certain processing activities where we rely on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 9 (Contact Us). We will respond to all requests within 30 days. Note that some requests may be subject to verification of your identity before we can proceed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other operational factors. When we make material changes, we will:

Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
Notify active users via a push notification or in-app message prior to the changes taking effect
Post the revised policy within the App and on our official website
